Celebrated throughout his star-studded singing career, Jeff Hooper is one of the best big band, swing and jazz singers of his generation. He sang with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra for 10 years and has been with the BBC Big Band for 30 years. Jeff and his Swing Easy Band was the tour band for Strictly Come Dancing.
He has performed at all the top venues worldwide including The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and presented his own weekly radio show for BBC Radio 2.
You can hear him on many TV adverts including for MacDonald’s, VW and Skoda.
The show will feature songs from Tony Bennett, Matt Monro, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, Andy Williams, and many more, for a truly magical performance.
We are privileged to bring Jeff to Speakeasy for his first performance at the club. Tonight he sings with his trio: John Pearce – piano, Paul Morgan – bass, Neil Bullock – drums.
