The Portishead Summer Show provides our lovely town with two action-packed days of all round family entertainment. Run entirely by volunteers the show combines the spirit of a community fair with the expectations of a national show, delivering a weekend to remember year after year.

The last weekend in July will see the Show Field on Clevedon Road, opposite Gordano School, bursting with everything from live music, dance displays, food, drink and a licensed bar to children’s sports, mountain bike demonstrations, a mobile farm, dog show, fancy dress competition, fun rides, bouncy castle and more. In addition to all this there are 300+ competition classes to enter. Contained within huge marquees erected on the field, the exhibits play a large part of the show and are what the show was all about when it first started more than 160 years ago; it has just evolved over time to reflect the needs and wishes of the modern day community.

Admission is £10 on the gate for adults and accompanied children are admitted free of charge, however tickets purchased in advance via the show website are 20% cheaper - just £8. Tickets sold in advance help the organisers enormously, so please support the show and buy your tickets now.
