This two-day Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course is designed for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities.
The course is an ideal lead for delegates who are planning attend the 5-day site managers SMSTS Training course at a later stage of their career development.

In Avonmouth, just three miles from Portishead, there are a number of companies handling chemicals and dangerous substances. Severnside Sirens are to warn the residents of Avonmouth and neighbouring towns and villages, like Portishead, of any incidents involving these substances. 3. Supporting Your Wellbeing: Discover effective strategies for supporting your emotional and psychological well-being during the menopausal transition, including mindfulness techniques, stress management, and self-care practices.
4. Physical Health and Strength-Based Exercise: Learn from experts at Hells Bells Strength Coaching about the benefits of strength-based exercise for menopausal women, including improved bone health, muscle strength, and overall vitality.
5. Dietary Strategies for Hormonal Balance: Hear from Registered Dietician Dr. Rebecca Hiscutt about insulin-resistant dietary measures to support mood, sleep, hormonal balance, and overall wellbeing during menopause.

Group Discussion

The group is open to anyone over 18 who: 

• Has or has had an eating disorder
• Thinks they may have an eating disorder
• Has a “difficult” relationship with food or their body

We meet at lunchtime in the Fedden Room at The Folk Hall on the last Thursday of each month.

Mini Medics First Aid is a basic first aid course designed for children between the ages of 7 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. A range of topics are covered including contacting the emergency services, CPR, how to use an AED, the recovery position, choking and many more.

The Portishead Summer Show provides our lovely town with two action-packed days of all round family entertainment. Run entirely by volunteers the show combines the spirit of a community fair with the expectations of a national show, delivering a weekend to remember year after year.

The last weekend in July will see the Show Field on Clevedon Road, opposite Gordano School, bursting with everything from live music, dance displays, food, drink and a licensed bar to children’s sports, mountain bike demonstrations, a mobile farm, dog show, fancy dress competition, fun rides, bouncy castle and more. In addition to all this there are 300+ competition classes to enter. Contained within huge marquees erected on the field, the exhibits play a large part of the show and are what the show was all about when it first started more than 160 years ago; it has just evolved over time to reflect the needs and wishes of the modern day community. 

Admission is £10 on the gate for adults and accompanied children are admitted free of charge, however tickets purchased in advance via the show website are 20% cheaper - just £8.
