Singer songwriter and guitarist Alfie Kingston will be performing at the Sirens Calling on Portishead marina from 4.30pm. From uplifting ballads to delicate acoustic guitar solos, as a writer Kingston draws from a wide range of influences whilst maintaining a distinct individuality that sets him apart from his contemporaries. There are elements of the country-tinged, melodic rock and poetic lyricism of the Counting Crows and REM, as well as nods to the polished rock epics of ‘Use Your Illusion’ era Guns 'n' Roses and the pop sensibilities of The Beatles and Cat Stevens. Meanwhile his covers range from 60s classics through to the 00s so there’s something for everyone.
