Dragons and Damsels!

It's the start of Dragonfly Week and local experts from The Friends of Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve will be leading a walk through the Ecology Park looking for and identifying the various species of dragonfly and damselfly which make it their home.

If the weather is fine, come and join us and discover more about these colourful and fascinating insects.

Footpath access to the Ecology Park is through the nature reserve or via Robin Place at BS20 7PX or Fennel Road, BS20 7FB.

The X4 bus stops by the reserve at Wharf Lane in Sheepway BS20 7TF. Follow the footpath to the park.

Begin Writing's Coffee, Cake and Creative Writing

If you've always wanted to try writing or you'd like to get back into the habit of writing more, then please come along! No one is asked to read aloud and no experience is necessary. People who attend find the sessions to be relaxing and fun. It's a great way to meet a small group of like-minded, friendly creatives. Each session is £12 and is pay as you go.

Floral Demonstration

'Backwards and Forwards' Demonstration with Julia Harrison at Clarence  House Portishead.  Julia has been a Teacher and Demonstrator since the 1980s, in her demos she loves to use plants particularly from the Southern Hemisphere which grow happily in her garden overlooking the lovely Exe estuary.
