Weston-in-Gordano Village ‘Mingle & Jingle!’ Event

Raising money in aid of the upkeep of our lovely medieval Church building, with a donation to our Village Hall. Win a luxury Christmas hamper, hamper of wine and many other seasonal prizes in the Grand raffle! Try your luck at the Boozy Bottle Christmas Tombola Stall. Light refreshments to buy include turkey or gammon ham baps with a complimentary glass of mulled wine, teas and coffee and seasonal cakes. Local home-baked goods, preserves and jams are available to buy. Browse local crafts including quilting, items made and donated by villagers, jewellery and dried flowers. Try your luck at guessing the weight of the ‘Novelty Christmas Cake’ competition! Free entry and parking in nearby field.

Experience the magic of a festive fun run at Charlton Farm in North Somerset

Don your festive fancy dress and walk, jog or run our sponsored 2k in the surrounding grounds of our children’s hospice near Bristol. Make special memories this Christmas while raising vital funds for families supported by our 3 hospices, including Charlton Farm. We ask each participant to commit to raise £30 as an individual or £86 as a family.

• 50% off entry into Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm (next to Charlton Farm) on the weekend of the event
• Free hot drink for every runner at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm on the day
• Santas on the Run isn’t a timed race, it’s for everyone to complete at their own pace
• Christmas themed event village with entertainment
• Competitions for the best fancy dress; dig out your favourite festive outfit or pyjamas, dress as your favourite Christmas character or even create your own costume.

Come and enjoy a delightful evening Christmas concert will take place at St Mary’s Church in Portbury.

Bold Brass has been performing at St Mary's for more than 15 years and this Christmas concert has become a real tradition for the village church. Tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £12 on the door – cash or card – with Portbury cider (made with home-grown apples), mince pies, tea, coffee and squash all being served as part of the event. Accompanied children are welcome free of charge.
