In Avonmouth, just three miles from Portishead, there are a number of companies handling chemicals and dangerous substances. Severnside Sirens are to warn the residents of Avonmouth and neighbouring towns and villages, like Portishead, of any incidents involving these substances. EAT FESTIVAL

Brimming with great local produce from breads, cheeses and charcuterie to ciders, wines and even specialist mushrooms, Eat Festivals return to Portishead’s marina on August 12.
Meet the growers and producers, sample awesome street food and soak up the sunshine while enjoying some exquisite street entertainment.
Eat:Portishead is a family friendly community event that will see around 100 stalls stretching from Parish Wharf, along the water’s edge to the lock gates, alongside fairground rides, face painters, DJs and buskers.
Expect all dietary needs and choices to be taken care of, there’s level access throughout and dogs are very welcome. The event runs from 10am-4pm.
