CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme

Siren Testing - Severnside Sirens

Starts: 15:00 On 03 October 2024 | Ends: 15:05 On 03 October 2024

In Avonmouth, just three miles from Portishead, there are a number of companies handling chemicals and dangerous substances. Severnside Sirens are to warn the residents of Avonmouth and neighbouring towns and villages, like Portishead, of any incidents involving these substances. These sirens are tested on the third day of each month at 3pm. You can find out more about the sirens and what to do in an emergency at the link below.

Moonlight Memory Walk - Children's Hospice South West

A special evening to remember your loved one.   

Join us for an uplifting evening in the beautiful surroundings of Salthouse Fields and Clevedon Pier, while supporting local families with every step. 

We invite you to join us and support our North Somerset Hospice, Charlton Farm, to remember your loved ones while walking a beautiful scenic route. Walk together with friends and family to remember those who are no longer with us. Lights will guide your way and there will be live music along the trail with spaces to pause and remember.  

There are just 130 places available to be a part of this uplifting event.

Delve into deeper conversations about end-of-life preferences, including where you'd choose to die if faced with a terminal diagnosis, and learn effective strategies for communicating your wishes to loved ones. The session aims to unlock insights and provide guidance to navigate these important matters with clarity and confidence.

  1. Understanding End-of-Life Choices: Gain clarity on the various decisions and arrangements involved in end-of-life planning, including wills, funeral arrangements, and power of attorney.

A Day of SEND

North Somerset Parent Carers Working Together (NSPCWT) are the local forum for parent carers to children with additional needs and disabilities.

This October is their largest SEND Event, held at Priory Community School in Weston-super-Mare.

Parents, Carers, Family Members and Professionals are all welcome to attend and benefit from the many exhibitors, training workshops, keynote speakers, performances & drop in clinics. No diagnosis is required for families to access our offers.
