February 2025
World Wetlands Trail
Starts: 09:00 On 31 January 2025 | Ends: 20:30 On 19 February 2025 [ Link ]
Wetlands are incredibly important for the planet and us! We are fortunate to have some wonderful wetlands at Portishead and Portbury.
So, in celebration of World Wetlands Day in February, we are running a special wetlands trail on Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve.
The trail highlights the significant contribution wetlands make to both biodiversity and sustainability. Did you know that wetlands play a crucial role in moderating the effects of climate change?
The reserve, which lies between Portishead and The Royal Portbury Dock is open 24 hours every day and there are no entrance fees.
Access by foot or bike from Wharf Lane (off Sheepway), The Marina or the Ecology park, Portishead.
The X4 bus stops near an entrance to the reserve on Sheepway.
