Portishead Community Market is a not-for profit community market organised and run by volunteers. 100% of the profits made will be spent supporting local businesses, charities and organisations.
Come along to browse the products on offer from a wide range of local, independent small businesses, find out what services local organisations are able to provide and join in with our fundraising activities including our monthly charity raffle.
From gifts and jewellery to pet supplies and pastries - there is something for everyone!
The Community Café is also open providing hot and cold drinks and refreshments with all proceeds going towards supporting the fabulous work Portishead Youth & Community Centre do within the local community.

Making Waves at Clevedon Bandstand

Free performances at Clevedon Bandstand as part of Clevedon LitFest Making Waves 2025.
Rimski's Mobile Performance - a curious spectacle indeed, meandering among the crowds with their marvellous musical machines: the Piano bicycle and the Double Bassicle. Performing at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm
Riding the Waves with Suzannah V. Evans. A performance of poetry celebrating all things water, from submerged amphoras to a working boatyard in Bristol.
Performance 11am - 11.30am
Barnacle Buoys, a local non-profit group of a capella singers who exist to enjoy their craft, to entertain, and to raise money (principally for RNLI and Children's Hospice South West). Performances at 1pm an 3pm.

Brushstrokes for Lifeboats - Sunflower

Looking for a fun and easygoing evening out? Come join us for the second event in our feel-good painting series, where we’ll be creating a bright and cheerful sunflower on canvas – no experience needed!
Led by the lovely Tracie Fry, a talented local artist who believes painting should be light-hearted and fun, you’ll be guided step-by-step in a friendly and welcoming setting. No pressure, no judgement – just a chance to unwind, get creative and do something a bit different.
As a little extra treat, you’ll also enjoy a glass of bubbles or a soft drink while you paint, making it the perfect midweek mood-lifter.
All materials are provided, and every ticket helps raise funds for the RNLI – so you’ll be supporting a brilliant cause while having a great time.
Keep an eye out for the final event in the series too – each session is different, but the relaxed, feel-good vibe is always the same.

Portishead Carnival Parade

The parade is the main attraction and tradition of Portishead Carnival.
The parade starts the from the Lake Grounds at midday and consists of small / large groups of walkers, fabulous creative floats and amazing performances, it finishes as the show field where the carnival celebrations continue.

Unique, versatile and charismatic vocalist, Sinead McCabe, appears tonight with her ‘Sinnermen’. She is one of the finest British vocalists who specializes in early New Orleans and Prohibition jazz, as well as delighting audiences paying homage to her major influences Dinah Washington, Ma Rainey, Ottilie Patterson and Peggy Lee.
She has performed at major jazz festivals: Upton, Bude, Swanage, Isle of Wight and been filmed numerous times for TV and is vocalist of choice for many bands.
Tonight her Sinnermen provide the perfect backing – all band leaders and well known instrumentalists in their own right. The amazing Alan Bateman will join her on sax.
Sinead and The Sinnermen will certainly put a spell on you, so come on down and let Sinead take us from the flappers , fringes and feathers of the 1920s to the glamour and glitz of 1940s New York.
Show 8.00pm. Doors open 7.00pm. Admission £20. No membership required. Clarence House boasts a full bar and free parking.
