Free Christmas bus travel on the X10

08 December 2025

Residents have the chance to try out the X10 bus route for free in the run-up to Christmas, with all fares on the Big Lemon service waived from 5 to 24 December.

No tickets, passes or vouchers are required—passengers can simply hop on board. The offer has been made possible through government funding provided via the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

The X10 route links communities across the region, running from Yatton Station through Clevedon, Portishead, Cribbs Causeway, Filton College and Southmead Hospital, providing access to key destinations for work, education, shopping and healthcare.

The festive free-travel initiative aims to support residents during one of the busiest times of the year, ease traffic congestion and encourage more people to choose sustainable transport options.

Timetables are available at: https://thebiglemon.com/x10/

The free-fare period forms part of a wider programme of investment in bus travel across North Somerset. Improvements include maintaining low fares, working with operators to deliver more reliable services, upgrading 150 bus stops and shelters, creating new transport hubs with better seating and Real Time Information displays and introducing measures to give buses priority at congestion hotspots.
