Portishead Spring Show 2026
19 January 2026
Schedules are now available for the Portishead Spring Show, the town’s first official gardening show of the year and it’s time to start thinking about what you will grow or what you could make to enter in to this community annual event.
If you haven’t visited the show before, this is a wonderful indoor event that offers something for everyone, but in addition to visitors, organisers would really love some new entrants in to the many different classes available.
Anyone can enter, from children to senior citizens and there are classes for individuals and groups. It’s not just about flowers and vegetables either, there are classes for cookery, photography, art and handicrafts with lots of certificates, cups and prizes to be won, so get cracking and start planning, making and growing!
Whether you are taking part or just visiting, the show, which takes place at the Folk Hall in Portishead High Street, provides an ideal afternoon out for all the family, with teas, coffee and light lunches served from 12.30pm.
As you enter the hall you will be greeted by a sea of scent and colour with entries submitted by a good cross section of the local community stretching out before you on tables and shelves that fill the venue.
Everyone is invited to take part. The schedules are available free of charge from many local shops and venues including Portishead Library,, the youth and community centre in Harbour Road, Brackenwood Garden Centre at Abbots Leigh and Carey’s, Beacon Hub and Bertie’s in the High Street.
Please take a look through the schedule to see which classes you might like to enter.
The Portishead Spring Show takes place on Saturday 14th March at the Folk Hall in the High Street from 12.30-4.30pm. Admission for adults is £1 with free entry for children.
The Spring Show is organised by members of Portishead Horticultural Society, the organisation which also organises the Portishead Summer Show, which takes place over two days on the last weekend of July each year.
There is more information about the Spring Show and the Summer Show on the Portishead Horticultural Society website and the Portishead Summer Show Facebook page.
