Portishead is rich in art and culture and is home to many creative and artistic businesses and individual makers. There is a two storey art gallery in the High Street, a public art trail centred around the marina and a variety art clubs and groups that hold different meetings, events and exhibitions in the town throughout the year, many of which you will find detailed on the events calendar on this site.
North Somerset Arts Week is a bi-annual event that sees many Portishead artists open their studios to the public for a week-long celebration of the arts, as part of an area wide arts initiative.
Portishead Arts is a group of local artists who want to contribute to the cultural vitality of the town. The group encourages public participation in artistic activities with the emphasis on fun.
